We will explore group labels as well as individual labels and the role labels have on the treatment of groups and individuals.

How often do we check on employees of marginalized groups when headlines and disturbing imagery hit our news and social media feeds? Many employees of color as well as allies are tired. We need to infuse a culture of compassion and care around fatigue and exhaustion. This session will provide tips for building a culture that recognizes, acknowledges, and incorporates safe spaces and self-care opportunities for its employees.

Diversity and Inclusion Series: Understanding Privilege

This session breaks down what privilege is and explores privilege at each social category. The concept of privilege and power will be reviewed as we increase awareness around the dominant versus the marginalized. Participants will be asked to reflect on their own privilege to begin unpacking and unlearning.
